What is the TEF Entrepreneurship Forum?
The TEF Forum is a two-day event in Nigeria with interactive learning sessions, workshops, plenary sessions, product launches and more. It is the largest annual gathering of African entrepreneurs from 54 African countries.

Why should I attend the TEF Forum?
The Forum is a showcase of the innovation and entrepreneurial potential that exists in Africa. We bring together the entire African entrepreneurship ecosystem from across the continent and world-wide. As an attendee you benefit from the training, workshop sessions, market opportunities, social events and trade shows available and as well an opportunity to build relationships, form networks and birth partnerships.
Will there be Wi – Fi access?
Yes, there will be wireless internet (Wi-fi) access on campus.  Wi-fi access codes will be made available in your welcome kit.
Will there be translation services during the TEF Forum?
Yes, there will be French translating services during the TEF Forum
What are the different registration options?
There are 4 registration options; participants may register as a TEF Entrepreneur, TEF Alumni, TEF Mentor or as a Guest of the Foundation. After registering you will receive a confirmation email.  To register please visit http://tonyelumelufoundation.org/tef-forum2017/registration/
What if I lose my Invitation?
If you have lost your invitation, you will be required to quote your invitation code and present identification at the registration desk.
Do I need to bring my registration documents to the TEF Forum?
To enter the TEF Forum please bring your Invitation letter and identification e.g. Passport or Driver’s License. As a TEF entrepreneur you are also required to state your TEF ID.
How do I register for the master classes?
Masterclasses must be pre-selected during registration. We have limited spaces per class, so you may not be able to attend your chosen class if you do not register early.
May I bring a guest or business partner to the TEF Forum?
At this time, access to the event is by invitation only therefore additional guests will not be permitted to the TEF Forum. Only those that have received an official invitation from TEF and have registered to attend ‘Physically’ will be granted access to the TEF Forum. *Please note that if you register to attend ‘Virtually’ you will not be granted access to the TEF Forum if you do arrive without prior notice*
How do I become a TEF Entrepreneur?

Will the Foundation cover my travel expenses?
The TEF Foundation will not pay any travel expenses.
Is there a TEF Stand at the airport?
Yes, there will be a welcome stand at the airport on Thursday 12th October.  Staff will be available to guide guests to allocated transport buses to the TEF Forum venue, or provide information for those going directly to their hotels. Arrivals after this date will need to make their own way directly to the TEF Forum venue.
Will I be refunded for my logistical expenses?
The TEF Foundation will not provide any refunds. All participants are responsible for the costs associated with their travel, this includes visas, flights, passports, vaccinations etc. to Lagos.
Is there parking at the event?
There is very limited parking available. We advise you to car-pool with other attendees or make use of pre-booked taxi services.
Where can I go to get a meal or drink during or after the event?
There will be two cafeterias on campus providing free meals. In Cafeteria A you have the option of eating delicacies from Nigeria and in Cafeteria B you have the option of eating vegetarian and non-spicy meals.
Can I bring my own meals?
Yes, feel free to bring your own meals, however please note there no amenities to cook or refrigerate your food. Alcohol is not permitted in the hostels.
I need to leave the TEF Forum early to catch my flight, can come with my luggage?
Your personal belongings is your responsibility, there is no cloakroom on campus
Where can I get a sim card?
There are sim card stalls at the International Airport.
How do I apply for a Nigerian visa?
Please apply for a Nigerian visa by visiting a Nigerian embassy and consulate in your country. To find out if there is a Nigerian embassy and consulate in your country please visit https://www.embassypages.com/nigeria
I am a Nigerian/West African; do I require a visa?
Nigerian nationals, and individuals from ECOWAS and other exempt countries will not require a visa to come to Lagos, Nigeria.  Please visit the Nigerian Immigration website for more details
What do I do if I require a visa to travel to Nigeria?
The Foundation can provide you with a visa letter to support your application. Please note it is your responsibility to pay for and secure a visa to travel to Nigeria. You can download your visa letter from the registration portal – you must indicate that you require a visa, and it will be automatically generated.  Please ensure that you enter all your details accurately, as changes cannot be made to letters once issued.
How can I secure accommodation?
If you are a TEF Entrepreneur, TEF Alumni or a TEF Mentor, you have the option to secure shared accommodation on campus for free. You will be sharing with someone of the same gender. If you are a guest, you do not have access to the accommodation on campus, however  we have partnered with hotels nearby, to view  the list of our partnered hotels please visit http://tonyelumelufoundation.org/tef-forum2017/registration/

What is the attire at the event?
Dress code for the forum is business attire. However, for entrepreneurs and TEF Alumni you are expected to where your TEF t-shirt on Day 2.
Who can attend the Forum?
The TEF Forum is the most diverse, inclusive Pan-African gathering of entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, media partners, corporations, business, enterprise development agencies, academic institutions, business schools, accelerators, incubators, policy makers, and government agencies from across the continent and world-wide.

How much does it cost to attend the TEF Forum?
There is no fee to attend the TEF Forum.  You will however, need to consider the cost of travel/transportation and accommodation.
How do I register to attend the TEF Forum?
All invited guests are expected to register to attend the Forum.  Please visit the TEF Forum Website Portal www.tonyelumelufoundation.org/TEF2017/registration Note that you will need a TEF ID or invitation code to proceed.
Is there a deadline for TEF Forum registration?
Yes, all guests must complete their registration by the 22nd of September 2017 in order to attend or participate.
Unfortunately, I cannot attend the TEF Forum anymore, can I give my spot to someone else?
If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, please send an email to the Foundation.  You cannot automatically grant your place to a partner or associate, the Foundation must issue an official invitation.
I cannot afford to attend the Forum; how else can I participate?
If you are unable to afford your travel expenses to attend the TEF Forum, you may join the activities through the livestream.
How long is the journey from the International Airport to campus?
It is approximately 40 minutes without traffic.
Will there be airport transfers?
Yes, between the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and Law School. You must indicate your need for airport transfers by stating your requirement in your registration. Please note that if you do not meet the designated pick-up time, you may be required to make your own way to the venue. If you are going to one of the partner hotels, the airport protocol team will advise on transport options for you.
What is the easiest way to get to the TEF Forum?
The TEF Forum will hold in Lagos; the nearest bus stop to the venue is “Law School Bus Stop”. Alternatively, you can use a reputable taxi service, please use the address stated in your invitation.
Will there be transfers to the city center?
No, there will be no transfers to the city. Free transportation is only provided between the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and the Lagos Law School campus.
I am a TEF entrepreneur and I cannot physical attend the forum, will my absence effect my place on the programme?
It is not mandatory for TEF Entrepreneurs to attend the TEF Forum and being physically absent will not affect your placement on the programme.  However, we do encourage you to participate as our programme this year is filled with exciting activities that will contribute to the growth of your business.
I am running late; can you secure a seat for me?
Every year the TEF Forum always reaches full capacity, we highly encourage you to come early and secure your seat.
What is the weather like in Nigeria?
The weather in Nigeria is usually between 25-30℃. However, please research the latest weather conditions online up to 2 weeks ahead of the TEF Forum 2017.
Where can I buy Naira?
There are foreign exchange bureaus at the International airport.
Is there visa on arrival in Lagos, Nigeria?
Nigerian immigration does provide visa on arrival services for certain countries but it is more expensive than receiving a visa from the Nigerian embassy and consulate in your country.  The Foundation will not pay for visa on arrival.
Which vaccines do I need before entering Nigeria
Upon arrival Nigerian immigration will request to see your yellow vaccination card, please seek advice from your doctor on which vaccinations you need.
Do I have to stay at the Law School campus? Where else can I stay?
You may choose to find your own accommodation or stay with family/friends in Lagos at your own cost. The Foundation will not pay for any external accommodation costs or transfers. The Foundation will provide a list of possible nearby hotels who offer discounted rates for TEF Forum attendees.
Can I stay on campus before/after the TEF Forum?
Accommodation on campus is only available from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th October. All guests will be asked to vacate the premises by Sunday 15th October by 10am. Please ensure that you make alternative accommodation plans for any additional days that you will be in Lagos, or ensure that you book your transportation/flight based on these dates.
Where and when is the TEF Forum?
The TEF Forum will hold from Friday 13th – Saturday 14th October 2017 in Lagos Nigeria. Activities at the TEF Forum run from 09:00 to 18:00 each day.
