A Decade of Impact: Unlocking the Potential of Young Women Entrepreneurs in Africa

The Tony Elumelu Foundation, the leading philanthropy empowering young African entrepreneurs from across all 54 African countries will host U.S. President Biden’s Presidential Advisory Council on Africa Diaspora Engagement this month, in Lagos, Nigeria.

At this high-level gathering, TEF and the U.S. Government, USAID, Prosper Africa, and private sector entities that support women entrepreneurs, will discuss potential collaboration opportunities to empower more young African entrepreneurs, particularly women, as a means of fostering economic transformation on the continent.

Young beneficiaries of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme will also be in attendance to join the conversations, enabling an in-depth exploration of the challenges and opportunities for young entrepreneurs, from their unique perspectives, who will be joined by key players from the entrepreneurship ecosystem – private sector leaders, development agency heads, successful creatives, and young entrepreneurs – to foster dialogue, share best practices, and develop actionable strategies to unlock the full potential of entrepreneurs and MSMEs, especially women and young people on the continent.
