تيف: How did you get your business idea? What was your mission from the outset?
Fadesola Adedayo: The idea for the business originated after a heavy workout, when, I was walking about in the Adeniran Ogunsanya Mall, in Surulere, aka Shoprite Surulere and I was looking for a nutritious and tasty post workout snack but couldn’t find any. Everything had too much sugar or was not using real yoghurt or just wasn’t tasty. I soon discovered that this was a problem, not only in Nigeria, but in Africa and the rest of the world-as a result I founded Bia.
تيف: What products does Bia offer?
We make frozen yoghurt mixed with frozen fruits, strawberries, blueberries, banana, pineapple, amongst other fruits right in front of the customer. We also served real smoothies with real frozen fruit mixed right in front of the customer. We never use powder-completely natural, completely fresh.

We’re the the 1st in West Africa to actually have real frozen yoghurt that is not from powder. We are also the 1st in west Africa to have real frozen fruits.
تيف: ما هي أهداف شركتك؟
Bia, named after the Greek God of Energy, aims to bring raw force and energy to every life in the world and help them live longer, stronger and better. We believe in the usage of the best ingredients, greatest packaging, and outstanding customer service in order to give our clients the best products possible. We believe in treating our customers with the utmost respect and care and creating an environment and world where people can feel inspired and energized. Simply put, Bia hopes to make a better world by giving people the power to live well.
تيف: We are aware you participated in a marathon. What was your motivating factor?
I did it because my brother passed away from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome in Nigeria. He also did the london marathon shortly before he died and I picked up running after his death to honor him. He passed away in Nigeria so it was important to do it where he passed away not only to raise awareness for the disease and prove that yes, it can be done in Nigeria.
تيف: How does your Bia help the community where it is located?
Our companies provides huge employment for the general community. We’ve already hired 6 people since we had our soft launch on June 16, 2016 and we are still open for hiring. We project to have 10 employees by the end of the year.

The feeling was indescribable. To be chosen as part of the top 2% on a continent was a great honor, even more so, by such a great visionary and africapitalism such as Tony Elumelu. It gave me a truly deep sense of satisfaction.
