Fatou Assah
Fatou Assah is a member of the Advisory Board at the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), as well as Global Business Manager, Financial Institutions Group at the international Finance Corporation (World Bank Group, an institution she joined in 2000). She currently focuses on managing Financial Inclusion, Agriculture Finance and SME programs, structuring innovative products for underserved populations in developing countries. Her activities include raising Donors support and providing technical assistance to governments and financial sector partners to implement MSME and SME initiatives, which recently included a $100 million fund for rural finance and insurance reaching 40 million beneficiaries. She also worked in various parts of the World Bank Group (including IFC and MIGA) on financial sector analysis, advisory services and investments projects.
As an Advisory Board member of the TEF, she is the Chairperson of the Partnerships, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, responsible for global donor fundraising activities as well as impact evalutations.
She holds a Masters in Insurance Business from Ecole Superieures des Assurances de Paris, and a Masters in Business from Universite de Paris.
