CHAIRMANS SESSION AT THE B7 SUMMIT

B7 is the official G7 engagement group for the industry stakeholders – the G7 is an informal political and economic forum of seven advanced economies including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The 2024 summit themed, Leading the Transitions Together, will recommend polices to the Italian government focused on 5 thematic macro-priorities:

• The impact of global uncertainty on global value chains;
• The multiple energy, climate and environmental transitions;
• The challenges of the Data economy and digital technologies;
• Enhancing the potential of talents and skills in the labour market; and
• Economic and industrial impact of AI on global economy

This year, Tony O. Elumelu CFR, Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, has been invited as one of the only three African leaders who will speak at the Summit given his accomplishment and position as a key African private sector stakeholder.

The Forum will be attended by Italian Ministers, the Presidents of the business federations of the G7 Countries, prominent CEOs, and high-level representatives of International and Multilateral Organizations. The discussion at the Summit is expected to birth a Final Declaration to be shared with the Italian Prime Minister for the G7 consideration and adoption at the G7 meeting.
