3 Things You Need to Know About the TEF-AFD Partnership
On Wednesday, July 4 2018, on the sidelines of the interactive session with TEF Founder, Tony Elumelu, President of France, Emmanuel Macron and 2,000 entrepreneurs, history was made with the signing of a partnership agreement between The Tony Elumelu Foundation and Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
These are 3 things you need to know about the partnership:
- Risk-sharing guarantee framework for loans: The partnership provides a risk-sharing guarantee framework where beneficiaries of the TEF programme can access loans from UBA branches across Africa up to €300,000 if their business qualifies.
- Research: The partnership will drive extensive research to examine the entrepreneurship ecosystem in West Africa with a special focus on francophone countries
- Mentorship: The partnership will provide the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs with access to high-level mentors within the AFD business network
