The TEF Documentary: Transforming African Entrepreneurs
Transforming African Entrepreneurs is a documentary which tells the story of the vision behind the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme – to identify, train, mentor and fund 10,000 African entrepreneurs across the continent to create jobs and generate wealth.
Using footage from the 2016 TEF Entrepreneurship Forum, the documentary features interviews with the Founder, Tony O. Elumelu, CON, Policy Makers, established entrepreneurs, Corporates and TEF entrepreneurs and partners.
Mr. Elumelu said, “We need to give from the perspective of empowering the recipient rather than making them dependent. We are doing this through structures philanthropy and structured approach to entrepreneurship development across the Continent.”
TEF Trustee, Dr. Awele Elumelu commented, “These entrepreneurs have to believe that there’s nothing they can’t do.”
TEF CEO commented, “We invite you to watch this film to see how young African entrepreneurs are transforming their continent.”
With over 151,000 applications received in 2018 and forty-one per cent female representation, the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme is currently in the fourth year of the Founder’s $100 million, 10-year commitment.
