Upcoming Entrepreneurship Events February 19th-25th
The 2018 NEXUS Africa Forum will convene between 20-21 February, 2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa in collaboration with the African Leadership Academy. It will bring together young philanthropists, impact investors, and allies – including family business members, successful entrepreneurs, and inspiring social change leaders. They will discuss challenges facing our world today and innovative solutions to address them. Register here
Startup Weekends are weekend-long, (54 hours) hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practising LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a Minimal Viable Product. On Sunday teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback (and sometimes funding) from a panel of experts.

The 2018 StartUpAfrica Women Entrepreneurship Forum is issues-focused and is for executives of small and medium enterprises, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs. The forum will be held on February 22-23, 2018 at Silver Palms Resort and Spa in Kilifi, Kenya. Register here
