4-5 days of school are missed by girls monthly due to the lack of affordable menstrual materials in Uganda (IRC 2013). Price is the most important concern for girls and women who need pads monthly. Eco-Pads has a solution of making reusable and affordable menstrual pads used for up to a year at $4. We also work on training girls, senior male and female teachers on menstrual health management, sexual reproductive health. We are currently looking for $50,000 to buy bulk raw materials to increase production, reduce price, reach an additional 20,000 girls, and develop our products. We have raised 5500 USD, deposited for raw materials, and packaging bags.
