“I’d like to wish The Tony Elumelu Foundation a very happy 5th birthday! I was part of the 2014 Elumelu Professionals Programme where I worked with the National Competitiveness Council of Nigeria (NCCN) in Lagos. During my time with the NCCN and The Tony Elumelu Foundation, I had many opportunities to learn, network, and gain an understanding of the business environment in Nigeria. The experience has proven extremely valuable to me in my career as a consultant, opened many doors, and provided me with a competitive advantage early on. Since the programme, I have worked in South Africa with Kaiser Economic Development Partners and in the Cote d’Ivoire with the African Development Bank. Apart from the professional aspects, I gained wonderful friends through the programme, with whom I still keep in touch and visit. I will always be grateful to Mr. Tony O. Elumelu for his outstanding commitment to supporting young professionals who want to work in Africa. Keep up the great work TEF and here’s to many, many more birthdays!”
