TEF in Egypt: Promotes Intra African Trade & Entrepreneurship!
Next week will be an exciting one for us.
This weekend and throughout next week, the Tony Elumelu Foundation will be in Egypt to discuss ways to achieve better intra-African trade relations and promote entrepreneurship in a series of events happening in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh.
AFRICA 2018 FORUM, EGYPT
Our first stop will be at the Africa 2018 Forum―Business for Africa and the World, organised by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on Friday, December 7, 2018, where Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu, Director of Partnerships, TEF, will be addressing a distinguished audience in three discussions:
1. Panel Discussion: The Digital Economy Opportunity in Africa
Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu will join a panel to discuss opportunities inherent in the thriving digital economy in Africa and how the launch of TEFConnect, the world’s largest digital networking platform for African entrepreneurs, will revolutionise the way young people do business in Africa.
2. Policy and Transformational Entrepreneurship – Saturday, December 8, 2018
This panel will take the form of a brainstorming session to discuss key policy constraints that need to be tackled to foster greater innovation, greater collaboration and a more conducive environment for entrepreneurs. Mrs. Ugochukwu will bring forward critical observations from relating with 4,000 African entrepreneurs, beneficiaries of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme.
3. Facebook Live Chat on “Women Entrepreneurship in Africa”
Mrs. Ugochukwu will join the Awura Abena, CEO of Wear Ghana Ltd., on a Facebook live chat on solving the problems of unemployment among women.
INTRA AFRICA TRADE FAIR (IATF), CAIRO – EGYPT
Our next stop will be at the Intra Africa Trade Fair in Cairo where our Founder, Tony O. Elumelu, CON, will be speaking at a distinguished session. The TEF team will also be exhibiting TEFConnect at the Fair and promoting the upcoming TEF Application Drive which launches on Jan 1, 2019.

TEF Founder, Tony O. Elumelu, CON, will engage other Heads of State at the VIP Roundtable discussion at the Intra African trade Fair in Cairo on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

2. PANEL DISCUSSION – Using trade to achieve economic transformation: What needs to be done to achieve concrete results under the AfCFTA
Mrs. Ugochukwu will join private sector executives on the panel moderated by Bronwyn Nielsen, Anchor-at-large, CNBC Africa to discuss ways to use trade to achieve economic transformation.

3. PANEL DISCUSSION: Making Intra-African Trade work for business – Views from practitioners –
TEF Business Specialist, Folarin Aiyegbusi, will join private sector leaders on the panel “Making Intra-African Trae work for business”. He will be using TEFConnect as a case study to demonstrate how African entrepreneurs can work across borders and grow their businesses from a digital platform.
